Inshore Fishing Trips

Inshore fishing with Captain Bo targets species in Charleston’s creeks, marshes, and harbor. We’ll fish tidal flats and inlets near Isle of Palms, Cape Romain Refuge, and Charleston Harbor based on season and bites. Expect redfish, flounder, sheepshead, speckled trout, black drum, and more. Great for families and beginners with steady action and stunning scenery.

Nearshore & Reef Fishing Trips

Ready to head to the reefs? Captain Bo’s nearshore trips take you into the Atlantic on our 24′ Sea Hunt RZR Bay Boat powered by a 250 HP Yamaha. We target sheepshead, seabass, sharks, cobia, and more depending on the season. The open layout, comfortable seating, and easy casting room make this the perfect platform for creek, harbor, and nearshore trips with up to 6 passengers.

Shark Fishing Trips

Hearing the drag scream when a big shark takes your bait is thrilling. Shark fishing with Captain Bo is popular for its real fight and unforgettable experience near Charleston. Best trips are in summer and early fall, targeting blacktip, spinner, bull, and sandbar sharks. Catch-and-release protects the fishery.

When to Fish in Charleston, SC

Charleston offers excellent fishing year-round, but here’s a quick seasonal breakdown to help you plan your trip:

Spring (March–May):

Inshore fishing heats up fast. Redfish and sheepshead are highly active. Great time to book before summer crowds arrive.

Summer (June–August):

Peak season for shark fishing and inshore fishing. Redfish, trout, flounder and everything in between are pretty consistent.

Fall (September–November):

One of the best times of the year to fish inshore. The Bull Redfish bite is great in the harbor while trout and redfish are schooling as the bait leaves the creeks and inlets.

Winter (December–February):

Inshore fishing continues — sheepshead stack up on structure and redfish can be found in deeper holes. A great time for uncrowded trips and serious anglers.
